Project Planner Opportunity in Renewable Energy


Are you a skilled Project Planner who's been looking to break into the world of clean energy? A renowned IPP is looking to grow their Planning team to support cutting-edge Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across the UK, ensuring seamless execution from inception to completion.


What You’ll Do:

  • Plan and monitor project lifecycles, reporting to senior leadership and project managers.
  • Coordinate schedules, costs, and resource models, creating ‘what-if’ scenarios to mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to align timelines and validate contractor schedules.
  • Analyse variances, ensure SIMOPS compliance, and recommend actions to meet deadlines and budgets.
  • Support progress reporting, risk management, and baseline schedule development.
  • Contribute to lessons learned and project closeout processes.


What They're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in project planning, ideally in construction or energy sectors.
  • Expertise in schedule coordination, cost forecasting, and earned value management.
  • Strong knowledge of SIMOPS, contractor schedule validation, and risk analysis.
  • Proficiency with project controls tools and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on delivering high-impact renewable energy projects.
