£85,000+ DOE

A Legal Counsel with strong commercial experience is required to join a multi-national consultancy on a permanent basis.

The Legal Counsel will be joining a supportive in-house legal team that works closely with stakeholders across a large and diverse business. The successful Legal Counsel will ideally have experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating professional services contracts and advising on governance and compliance matters.

This position offers hybrid working with the ideal candidate able to attend the office in Leeds 3 days per week.

As a Legal Counsel, your role will include, but is not limited to:

• Reviewing, drafting and negotiating a wide range of professional services agreements, ensuring terms align with internal governance and risk appetite while enabling business growth
• Handling both bespoke contracts and industry-standard forms, including NEC
• Supporting the Head of Legal and wider legal team on risk management, governance and regulatory compliance matters
• Actively contributing to the development of legal team expertise and staying informed on legal developments relevant to the business and its sectors

About you:

• UK qualified solicitor with a commercial background (PQE guidance 3+ years).
• Experienced in reviewing and negotiating contracts and providing commercially sound legal advice.
• Able to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders
• Experience in engineering consultancy, infrastructure or construction sectors is advantageous but not essential
• Proactive, solution-focused and keen to contribute to a team-oriented legal function
