We are exciting to be partnering with one UKs largest and most influential organisations, as they look to recruit for a new Commercial & Vendor Specialist to join their best in class Procurement and Supply Chain department.

The Commercial & Vendor Specialist will be responsible supporting the contract management activity for a portfolio of strategic Managed Service Agreements valued at £1 Billion.

Commercial & Vendor Specialist:

Duration: Permanent

Location: Warwickshire/Hybrid – contact time is dependent on business needs

Salary: Circa £48,000 - £65,000 per annum

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Lead multiple sourcing events, collaborating with stakeholders to challenge demand and deliver optimal solutions
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure high performance in cost, quality, delivery, and compliance
• Oversee and support the management of strategic Managed Service Agreements, including negotiation and execution of call-off contracts
• Prepare and manage contract documentation in coordination with internal stakeholders
• Act as the commercial, legal, and contract liaison, ensuring policy and process compliance across teams
• Advise leadership on commercial risks and issues, and develop mitigation strategies to manage them effectively
• Assist procurement teams in shaping RFI/RFPs, leading negotiations, and ensuring robust contracting
• Lead onboarding of new suppliers and drive continuous improvement in supplier management through research and analysis
• Contribute to the development and execution of sourcing and category strategies, ensuring standardisation and value-driven procurement
• Mentor procurement team members and share best practices, market insights, and supplier trends to elevate procurement performance

Requirements:

• Industry standard and/or professional body accreditations eg. MCIPS
• Expertise in the Energy sector
• Comprehensive experience in contract management
• Experience of managing outsourced Managed Service Provider contracts
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to prepare for and lead negotiations, driving optimum value throughout the contract lifecycle
