Location: Lewes, East Sussex (Hybrid Working Available) | Salary: £60,000 – £80,000 (DOE)

The Opportunity

We’re seeking a senior lawyer with solid experience in probate, estate administration and related private client matters. The successful candidate will join their award-winning Private Client team – the largest and busiest team in the firm, working alongside highly regarded lawyers recognised in the Legal 500.

This is a newly created position, offering scope for career development up to partnership level for the right candidate.

You will:

• Handle a broad caseload including wills, estate planning, probate, LPAs, and trusts
• Supervise and mentor junior team members, conduct 1:1s and contribute to appraisals
• Build long-term relationships with loyal HNW clients
• Have autonomy, yet benefit from working closely with top-ranked colleagues
• Help maintain our exceptional client service standards in a high-performing but supportive environment

About You

You will be:

• A qualified solicitor with 5–8+ years’ PQE in private client law
• Technically strong in probate and estate planning (trusts experience is a bonus)
• Ideally STEP-qualified or working toward this
• Organised, accurate and detail-focused
• Approachable, collaborative and client-focused
• Experienced in supervising others or mentoring juniors (for Associate+ roles)
