Job description
Demand Planner - FMCG
Office Location: Berkshire (Hybrid, 3 Days WFH)
Job Responsibilities:
- Formulate demand planning strategies for EMEA by analyzing stock meetings and utilizing Demand Solutions to implement purchase order fulfillment.
- Define planning parameters, identify risks, and develop solutions to mitigate them.
- Oversee the lifecycle of customer product ranges and intake schedules, assessing risks and proposing strategies to achieve sales targets.
- Assist in quarterly reviews with major customers, ensuring NHOPS and new products are integrated into growth strategies.
- Evaluate demand forecasts and leverage historical data to inform range planning decisions.
- Implement measures to enhance the accuracy of internal forecasts, aligning them with market demand.
- Conduct thorough analyses of hotel-level sales data to identify fluctuations and collaborate with internal teams to address issues.
- Provide monthly reports on sales variances compared to forecasts, recommending corrective actions for performance optimization.
- Continuously refine forecasting methodologies to better anticipate customer needs and increase responsiveness.
- Create and implement new formats for sharing forecasts with internal teams to ensure clarity and consistency.
- Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by management.
Job Requirements
- At least 5+ years of experience in demand planning, with proficient in managing over 1,000 SKUs.
- Familiarity with global suppliers, understanding lead times and supply chain challenges.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all organizational levels.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent organizational skills with a hands-on, meticulous approach.
- Positive and proactive mindset, able to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Ability to translate data and analysis into actionable business insights.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capability to identify needs and present effective solutions.
