Salary: Up to £75,000

We’re working with a dynamic and well-respected multidisciplinary consultancy undergoing exciting growth. With a diverse pipeline of complex, high-value projects across sectors—including commercial, heritage, residential, and public realm—they are now seeking an Associate Building Surveyor to take a pivotal role in project leadership, client development, and team mentoring.


The Role:

As an Associate, you will be a key figure in both delivery and strategy. You’ll lead multidisciplinary teams, build trusted client relationships, and help shape the direction of the Building Surveying team in Leeds.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end project delivery across multiple sectors
  • Provide strategic oversight on feasibility studies, technical due diligence, and contract administration
  • Deliver expert surveys and reports, including on historic and complex buildings
  • Take full accountability for programme, budget, and client engagement
  • Guide and mentor junior and mid-level surveyors
  • Contribute to team leadership and the development of service lines
  • Support and lead business development initiatives, including bid writing and client presentations
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant legislation (including CDM, Party Wall, Building Regs)


Requirements:

You are a confident, commercially astute Building Surveyor with a track record of delivering excellence at senior level. You’re comfortable leading large-scale projects, nurturing client relationships, and making a wider contribution to the growth of a business unit.


  • Degree-qualified in Building Surveying
  • MRICS chartered (or able to demonstrate significant senior-level experience)
  • Strong technical knowledge of both traditional and modern construction
  • Proven leadership in project delivery, reporting, and contract administration
  • Deep understanding of JCT contracts and statutory compliance
  • Confident communicator and team leader
  • Experience in business development or strategic growth activity
  • Experience with heritage/conservation buildings would be ideal
