About the company & role

An international retailer with a strong UK presence is looking for a commercial lawyer to join their growing team. Reporting to the Head of Legal, you'll play a key role in supporting a wide range of commercial and corporate legal matters across our UK and international operations. This is a broad and hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Drafting and negotiating international and domestic commercial contracts such as IT, Saas, distribution, supply, manufacturing, agency and licensing agreements
• Advising on IP, franchising, licensing, acquisitions, advertising and multi-channel marketing
• Support with data protection, trading standards, and relevant regulatory matters
• Managing legal aspects of franchise rollouts, corporate transactions, and contract reviews
• Handling due diligence, KYC, AML, and ABC compliance

What we're looking for

• UK qualified solicitor with broad company/commercial experience (3 PQE+ as a guideline)
• Strong understanding of contract law, IP, and regulatory compliance
• Additional European languages are preferred, but not required.
• A team player with excellent communication skills and a proactive, business-oriented mindset
