⭐ 12 month FTC (Maternity Cover)
⭐ Central London
⭐ Hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 days WFH per week)
⭐ Salary up to £85,000 p.a. Plus 10% completion bonus
⭐ Commencing early September 2025
⭐ CIPD Level 7 is essential, alongside significant experience of SLT level strategic and operational HR leadership
We are delighted to be supporting our longstanding client with their search for an exceptional Head of HR, to cover the current incumbent's upcoming maternity leave.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a progressive and prominent Engineering business, at a key point in their growth and ongoing success journey.
The Head of HR is a key member of the leadership team responsible for driving the people agenda. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role oversees the full HR function, including strategy, business partnering, people development, organisational change and group-level HR collaboration.
Key duties will include:
- Develop and execute the HR strategy aligned with business objectives
- Oversee all employee relations, including absence, disciplinary matters, grievances, and employee well-being.
- Lead employee engagement and change management initiatives
- Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation and internal HR governance
- Lead the talent management strategy covering recruitment, succession planning and retention.
- Oversee professional development, ensuring training records are up-to-date and linked to career progression.
- Foster culture of continuous learning through coaching and internal mobility initiatives
- Lead all aspects of HR operations, including payroll inputs, compliance, policies and employee relations
- Promote employee responsibility for personal safety and risk awareness, supporting a positive safety culture
In order to be successful you will need:
- Proven HR leadership experience
- CIPD Level 7 (or equivalent)
- Strategic and delivery focused, with a strong track record of executing people initiatives that drive business performance
- Hands-on and detailed orientated, comfortable operating both at strategic and operational levels
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law, employee relations and GDPR
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and influence across all levels
- Collaborative work ethic with the ability to influence stakeholders
- Proficient in Microsoft 365, HRIS platforms and workforce analytical tools
