Health, Safety & Wellbeing Lead (UK & Ireland)

Bristol (with occasional UK & Ireland travel)

We’re seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Wellbeing professional to lead and enhance health, safety and wellbeing strategies across UK and Ireland operations for a global FMCG business specialising in consumer goods and next-generation products. Covering a central Bristol hub, field-based teams, and satellite sites in London, Dublin and Nottingham, you’ll report to the UK&I People Director and champion a proactive behavioural safety culture while ensuring compliance with group standards and regional legislation.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Providing pragmatic, expert advice to managers and employees to embed best practice and maintain compliance.
  • Leading quarterly review meetings, tracking actions and engaging stakeholders.
  • Investigating incidents, overseeing risk assessments and managing legal compliance registers.
  • Delivering and coordinating H&S and wellbeing training, including first aid and mental health initiatives.
  • Managing fleet safety data and vehicle monitoring systems to reduce risk.
  • Reviewing emergency procedures and supporting business continuity planning.
  • Developing and delivering an annual wellbeing agenda and initiatives.


You will have:


  • NEBOSH General (essential), NEBOSH Diploma (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of UK & Ireland health & safety legislation and codes of practice.
  • Confident communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Desirable: IOSH membership, experience managing fleet driver safety, and delivering training.
