Our client, a leading brand in womenswear, are seeking a dynamic Head of Garment Tech to join the team and lead the technical design process for the product range. This role is perfect for a strategic thinker with hands-on technical expertise who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment.


THIS ROLE WILL REQUIRE RELOCATION TO AMSTERDAM


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of garment technologists and technical designers to deliver high-quality, well-constructed garments.
  • Oversee the technical design process from concept to production, ensuring that designs are accurately translated into finished products.
  • Manage fit testing, fabric selection, garment construction, and production quality control to meet product specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with design, production, and merchandising teams to ensure seamless product development and timely delivery.
  • Drive innovation in garment technology, keeping up-to-date with industry trends, technical advancements, and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during the production phase to ensure minimal delays or disruptions.
  • Ensure all garments meet the highest standards of quality, fit, and functionality while maintaining brand integrity.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to align technical strategies with overall business goals and objectives.


Key Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in garment technology, including pattern-making, fabric selection, construction, and quality control.
  • Proven track record of managing and leading technical teams in a fast-paced fashion or apparel environment.
  • Strong understanding of garment fit, construction methods, and production techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex technical challenges efficiently.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with a proven ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • A deep passion for fashion and a commitment to producing high-quality, innovative products.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in fashion technology, garment design, or a related field is preferred.
