Senior Business Analyst - Trading

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our operations team, working across middle and back-office functions. Reporting to the Lead Business Analyst, you will act as a key link between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring requirements are well understood and delivered effectively. This role requires proven experience with trading systems, alongside strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior liaison between business and technology teams to ensure clarity and alignment across projects.
• Influence and advise on prioritisation decisions, balancing business objectives with technical feasibility.
• Elicit, document, and analyse business requirements to support the delivery of fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Gather and review relevant business and industry data.
• Identify areas for process improvement and recommend changes.
• Evaluate emerging technology developments and contemporary business practices.
• Build and maintain deep knowledge of trading systems and how they support business operations.
• Assess the impact of new technology implementations on existing processes and systems.
• Lead prioritisation meetings and facilitate decision-making.
• Mentor and guide junior team members.

What You Will Bring

• Proven track record applying business analysis techniques to solve complex problems.
• Demonstrable experience with trading systems (essential).
• Experience documenting as-is and to-be business processes.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to handle competing demands and negotiate effectively.
• Confidence in challenging and validating requirements to ensure business needs are met.
• Experience performing system/integration testing and supporting user acceptance testing.
• Knowledge of configuring commercial software packages and specifying requirements for custom-developed solutions.
