Argenta Private Capital Limited (APCL) is a leading adviser to private and corporate capital at Lloyd’s, authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, which advises over 480 clients underwriting £5.1bn of premium. APCL advises High Net Worth (“HNW”) and Ultra HNW individuals together with private offices on how to provide capital that supports underwriting at Lloyd’s and which syndicates to support. This participation allows them to benefit from the dynamic and profitable business of insurance that is an essential part of the world’s economy. The returns from underwriting tend not to be correlated with the returns from other investments making Lloyd’s attractive to those also seeking diversification within their investment portfolio. About the role

  • Responsible for supporting Client Directors on advising clients of all technical aspects of their investment in the Lloyd’s Insurance Market.


As the Assistant Technical Officer, your key responsibilities will involve

  • Provide data and reporting to clients and Client Directors as required.
  • Assist Client Directors with all operational and administrative client needs.
  • Monitor client funding as part of the quarterly corridor test.
  • Distribute syndicate profits/collect losses as part of Lloyd’s annual distribution exercise.
  • Support auction and capacity tasks as required.
  • Assist with the valuation and marketing of Lloyd’s vehicles for sale.
  • Record and process client banking instructions through an online banking platform.
  • Assist with Anti Money Laundering checks on incoming funds to APCL (when required).
  • Record/maintain data on internal systems (SharePoint, MS Dynamics, Synopsis).
  • Provide management reporting as and when required (MS Excel).
  • Use and report from Lloyd’s external systems (FAL Online, Member Modeller).
  • Prepare documents/deeds for electronic signing using DocuSign.
  • Support Mazars to fulfil their accounting requirements.
  • Support and comply with key deadlines in the Lloyd’s business calendar.
  • Undertake any other related duties as may be reasonably required.

About you

  • Ability to quickly learn and understand client management systems and processes.
  • Ability to learn and comprehend Lloyd’s Bye Laws and associated FCA regulations.
