Introduction
Due to an upcoming retirement, we're looking for a trailblazing and forward-thinking Head of Projects to join our ifse family and lead the Project Management team into success for our clients and our projects. The role is well suited to someone with previous Senior Project Management experience looking to take a step into leadership.

Who we’re looking for:
· Experienced Catering Project Management leader with proven experience in overseeing a commercial catering project management function.
· Excellent knowledge of all major catering equipment brands/equipment.
· Excellent technical knowledge of M&E services requirements for commercial catering installations.
· Candidate to be located within 1 hour commute of IFSE Croydon Office – working collaboratively with colleagues in the IFSE office is required.
· Candidate to either hold CFSP qualification or be willing to achieve the qualification.
· SMSTS Qualification required as well as other compliance qualifications (first aid, asbestos awareness etc).
· Excellent interpersonal skills required to lead the team of 3 project managers and liaise with other departments within IFSE. A positive, pro-active outlook is required.
· Excellent Customer Service ethos.
· Good understanding of project management IT applications/technology. The candidate will be expected to review and suggest new technologies to streamline the Project Management team. The candidate will also work alongside the Building Works team to implement MICROSOFT PROJECTS into the business. At a minimum, the candidate should have strong understanding of Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Role responsibilities:
· To take total responsibility for the IFSE catering installation Project Management function, overseeing the project management team and working effectively with all other teams within IFSE.
· To implement systems to ensure a holistic view of the catering project management team is achieved with oversight on all current projects. This will involve updating and distribution of the project management list weekly and going through this list at the weekly Monday Morning Meeting.
· To occasionally assist sales team in client presentations representing the Projects function within IFSE.
· To have a working knowledge of all order processing systems and liaise with the order process administrator to ensure that equipment is procured and received at the appropriate time in line with project programmes.
· To navigate project delays to ensure that equipment is not received too early.
· To work with project managers to check all service drawings and to check that quotations/drawings are fully coordinated and that M&E is correct and corresponds between the drawing and quotation.
· To prepare/oversee works programmes for catering installation projects.
· To communicate with client/main contractor when a senior person to the PM is required on any given occasion.
· To take overall responsibility for Health and Safety on all IFSE catering installation sites.
· To be an effective link between Sales and Project Management Teams ensuring appropriate quality of service from PMs and appropriate expectations from the Sales Team.
· To work alongside the Head of Building Works to ensure smooth operation between both elements of Project Management.
· To work with the sales team pre-order to offer advice and M&E service advice on potential projects, this may involve site visits with members of the Sales Team.
· To assist with pricing of installations when requested by the sales/estimating team.
· To allocate new catering projects to appropriate members of the team and ensure efficient handovers from the sales team are carried out, including liaison with Admin Team with regarding to order process with manufacturers.
· To oversee the installation teams being used by IFSE to ensure cost effectiveness, quality and appropriate qualifications and compliance.
· To oversee the fabrication companies being used by IFSE to ensure cost effectiveness, quality and delivery within programme requirements.
· To ensure that installation teams and fabrication suppliers are not over-booked and that IFSE have an appropriate spread of suppliers to meet the need of up-coming installations.
· To liaise daily with project management team to ensure smooth operations and appropriate work flows (ensuring no PM is overworked or underworked).
· To work with the Compliance Manager to ensure quality of Risk Assessments and Method Statements. Ensuring that all RAMS received from sub-contractors are checked before submittal to the Compliance Manager/client.
· To be pro-active in exploring and suggesting improvements in the PM service offered by IFSE.
· To cover for project managers when they are on annual leave or when they are committed on two projects at the same time.
· To have an awareness of payment terms on all projects and to liaise with administration/finance departments to provide an alert when installation is programmed and payment is required prior to delivery.
· To carry out site visits with PMs to ensure familiarity with all current projects.
· To ensure that all projects are handed over effectively and with appropriate paperwork.
· To liaise with Romann Catering when projects are handed over to ensure that all information has been passed to them and to assist with communications regarding maintenance contracts.
· To keep a record of handed over projects with a view to suggesting maintenance contracts at the appropriate time.
· To hold, organise and lead monthly Project Management Meetings with the PM team to discuss all project progress, suppliers and any outstanding issues and feedback to the Senior Management Team.
· To ensure use of Site Audit Pro application by all Project Management team for site snagging.
