Construction Lawyer in London Area

Job description

We are working with a leading international law firm in London for an Associate to join their growing Construction team.

The Role

The successful candidate will join a dedicated and passionate Construction team. The candidate will engage with a variety of challenging contentious and non-contentious matters, such as real estate transactions, investment and real estate funds, landlord and tenant matters, environment and sustainability, and construction.

The candidate will play a key role in advising a broad spectrum of clients on issues such as acquisitions, disposals, new leases and surrenders, licences and general management matters. The candidate will also demonstrate a willingness to contribute to business development while managing client relationships.

Essential Criteria:

• 5+ years’ PQE;
• Strong background within a leading firm with a reputable Construction team. Experience with energy & utilities, IT infrastructure and telecoms highly desirable;
• In-depth understanding of non-contentious construction law and engineering projects;
• Ability to demonstrate strong commercial awareness;
• Strong academics;
• Technically excellent;
• Excellent negotiation skills;
• Experience with building client relationships and keen interest in business development;
• Ability to work independently and as a team.
