This is a unique opportunity for a skilled Property Lawyer to join a vibrant in-house legal team, develop a broader commercial skill set and take on some of the most interesting, complex and challenging work in Scotland.


This role would be well suited to a skilled Solicitor (3-8 PQE) who has strong expertise in both residential and commercial property transactions, and can manage a diverse caseload including residential properties, plots of land, rural property and commercial property, as well as residential and commercial leasing, advising on complex title matters and more. The team manages a fascinating portfolio of multi-purpose land and properties across the country, many of which have an alluring history and intricate, complex deeds. As such, this is an engaging and fulfilling role where you will be empowered to enhance your technical skills and level up your career.


Because of the multi-disciplinary nature of the team, this role also offers ample scope to get involved in broader work, including commercial contracting, data protection and employment law issues. For someone seeking to carve out a career in-house, this position will support you in developing a skill set which aligns well with the in-house market.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage transactions related to the sale and purchase of a wide range of different properties (commercial, rural and residential), including the negotiation, drafting and concluding of missives.
  • The negotiation, drafting and provision of expert advice relating to residential and commercial leasing
  • Analysis, interpretation and advice on complex titles, many of which are historic in nature
  • Land registration application for properties
  • Day-to-day advice on all property-related matters
  • Ability to draft, negotiate and revise a wide range of commercial contracts would be advantageous.
  • Offer legal guidance on compliance and a variety of legal matters.
  • Collaborate effectively with a team of solicitors to meet organisational goals.
