Job Title: MEP Quantity Surveyor

Location: Reading

Salary: £75,000 – £90,000 + package

Start Date: Immediate

Project Length: Until 2027

The Company

Our client is a highly respected MEP subcontractor delivering a £41m mechanical, electrical, and public health package on a major £200m+ scheme in Reading. Working alongside a Tier 1 main contractor, they are renowned for delivering complex, large-scale projects to the highest standard.

The Role

As the M&E Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all commercial aspects of the MEP package, ensuring profitability, accurate cost control, and strong contractual performance. You will work closely with the on-site commercial team and liaise with the main contractor to ensure the smooth delivery of this high-profile project.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the full commercial lifecycle of the MEP package (value: £41m)
• Procurement and management of subcontractors and suppliers
• Producing cost reports, valuations, and forecasts
• Ensuring accurate measurement and timely submission of variations
• Working closely with the project team to drive value and efficiency

Requirements

• Proven experience as an M&E or MEP Quantity Surveyor
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical packages on large construction projects
• Commercially astute with strong negotiation skills
• Ability to work effectively within a site-based team environment
• Available to start immediately or at short notice
