Job Title: IRO (Children's)

Pay 38 LTD inclusive of holiday pay or 28.66 PAYE Exclusive of holiday Pay

We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated IRO (Children's) to join our team on a contract basis. As an IRO (Children's), you will play a crucial role in reviewing plans for children and young people who are in need of protection, in the care of the Council, or who are Care Leavers. You will provide independent oversight of children's care and monitor the performance of the Local Authority in handling children's cases.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing plans for children in need of protection
• Providing independent oversight of children's care
• Monitoring the Local Authority's performance in relation to children's cases
• Challenging poor practice when necessary
• Acting as a designated Child Protection Conference Chair & Independent Reviewing Officer
• Supporting the Council's visions and priorities
• Assisting the Team Manager in planning team and service objectives
• Identifying and highlighting resource issues to the Team Manager
• Ensuring the team meets objectives and targets within agreed timeframes
• Delivering standards that promote equality of opportunity

Salary: £38ph
