Change Lead in United Kingdom

Practicus is looking for an Change Lead in United Kingdom

Job description

Change Lead – Workday Payroll Implementation

UK-based | Hybrid / Remote with occasional travel

12-month Fixed-Term Contract | ~£80k

We’re on the hunt for a hands-on, people-powered Change Lead to help our client land their next big transformation.

Our client has already rolled out Workday HCM and is now diving into Phase 2: Workday Payroll and Absence Management. It’s big, it’s complex, and it’s happening fast! So they need a calm, capable, delivery-focused change professional who knows how to get things done and bring people with them.

You’ll be leading the charge on making sure employees are informed, engaged, trained and ready - not just for go-live, but for long-term adoption.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Rolling out a practical change management strategy that actually sticks
  • Managing stakeholders across HR, business units and leadership and keeping them engaged
  • Planning and delivering comms that are clear, useful and engaging
  • Creating a solid adoption plan - and staying close post go-live to make sure it’s all landing
  • Supporting training and business change teams to make sure no one’s left behind
  • Keeping tabs on readiness and adoption metrics so we can spot what’s working (and what’s not)

What we’re looking for:

  • Solid experience delivering change for large-scale system rollouts (Workday - especially Payroll!)
  • Top-notch communication and stakeholder skills – you know how to influence and bring people onside
  • A strong grip on change frameworks and the good sense to adapt when needed
  • Confidence working across decentralised, matrixed environments
  • Someone who’s practical, empathetic, and unflappable when things get a little bumpy
  • Bonus points if you’ve helped deliver payroll transformations or built/delivered training content

Why this role?

  • It’s a real chance to own the change journey and help a business land a major transformation
  • You’ll be part of a collaborative and people-first culture that genuinely values change done right
  • It’s remote and flexible – with occasional travel for workshops
  • There’s potential for extension or even a permanent role as the wider change function grows

If you love driving real change, making things stick, and helping people feel ready then this could be just the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.
