Job description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Legal Counsel (1–4PQE) to join a leading sports and events organisation. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will work across a broad portfolio of legal matters, providing commercial and pragmatic advice to stakeholders throughout the business.


This is a varied, business-facing role with exposure to high-profile events, media rights and commercial partnerships. You will draft, review and negotiate a range of commercial agreements, support compliance requirements and advise on contractual and operational matters across the company’s activities.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide variety of commercial contracts (including media rights, licensing, sponsorship, events, services and technology agreements).
  • Advising internal stakeholders on a broad range of legal issues with a focus on commercial, media and compliance matters.
  • Managing legal projects and liaising with external counsel where required.
  • Supporting contract management processes and assisting in the development of best practice within the legal function.


About you:


  • UK-qualified lawyer with 1–4 years’ PQE, ideally gained in a recognised commercial, media, or technology team (private practice or in-house).
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills with a commercial and solutions-focused approach.
  • Confident managing work autonomously while building strong relationships across the business.
  • Comfortable working on varied matters, often outside your immediate comfort zone.
