Legal Counsel – London

We’re working with a fast-growing, employee-owned financial services business operating globally in the OTC derivatives and commodities markets. With offices in key international hubs, they pride themselves on delivering tailored, high-quality solutions for their clients while fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.

The Role

This is a broad in-house position supporting the business with:

1. Drafting, negotiating, and managing a variety of commercial contracts, including NDAs, terms of business, services agreements, and security documentation.
2. Advising on derivatives documentation (including ISDA) and related credit processes.
3. Managing counterparty and supplier agreements, including broker and data licensing arrangements.
4. Overseeing contract lifecycle management and maintaining a centralised contracts repository.
5. Providing company secretarial support and general legal advice across the business.

About You

1. Strong experience with client on-boarding processes and documentation in financial services.
2. Skilled in negotiating and drafting English-law commercial contracts.
3. Knowledge of derivatives documentation and related credit processes.
4. Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
5. Likely to be a UK-qualified solicitor with 2–5 years’ PQE, but backgrounds outside this range will be considered.
6. Bonus points for cross-border experience, company secretarial knowledge, and Portuguese/Spanish language skills.
