Chartered Building Surveyor | Birmingham - hybrid | up to £60,000

Looking to lead on a wide and varied range of building surveying projects in a commercial environment?

PT Renewables is partnered with a growing B-Corp Certified Real Estate business on the look for a Chartered Building Surveyor to take the reins on a variety of innovative projects.

You'll get autonomy, support and the chance to build client relationships in a growing & forward-thinking business.

The role

• Administer building contracts from tender through completion, ensuring works meet quality, time, and budget requirements.
• Undertake technical due diligence surveys, producing clear reports to inform acquisition, disposal, and investment decisions.
• Advise on and prepare schedules of dilapidations, negotiating settlements for both landlords and tenants.
• Diagnose building defects through detailed pathology inspections and recommend cost-effective remedial solutions.
• Deliver a range of commercial building surveying services in line with RICS standards, including reinstatement cost assessments, planned maintenance advice, and project oversight.

About you

• Degree in Building Surveying & MSCSI/MRICS
• Excellent and accurate report writing skills
• Experience of working in a pro-active commercial environment
• Sound knowledge of building contracts in a commercial context
