Summary

As a BIM Document Controller representing Obayashi Properties UK Limited, (OPUK), you will lead the management and oversight of all construction documentation throughout the project lifecycle using Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC). You will ensure all project teams—designers, consultants, contractors, and facilities teams—adhere to documentation standards that support transparency, compliance, and long-term asset management. The ideal candidate brings strong document control experience and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.


Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a structured document management environment within Autodesk Construction Cloud, (Docs, Build, BIM Collaborate), across the 60 Gracechurch Street project.

• Enforce standardized naming conventions, folder structures, permissions, and metadata tagging in line with OPUK’s document control policies and ISO 19650 principles.

• Manage version control and workflow approval for all project documentation, including design submissions, RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and as-built records.

• Coordinate document management responsibilities across all external teams: architects, engineers, general contractors, and consultants.

• Serve as the owner’s platform administrator for Autodesk Construction Cloud, managing user access, permissions, and data governance.

• Support project closeout documentation, including structured digital handover packages and facility management-ready documentation.

• Provide internal stakeholders (development, legal, FM, leasing) with secure, timely access to relevant documents and dashboards.

• Generate periodic reporting on document status, compliance, and collaboration metrics.

• Train and support external partners and internal users on Autodesk Docs and related tools.

• Helping on-board new users to Autodesk platform, adjusting user permissions as required.


Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in document control or information management, with at least 2 years representing an owner/developer or client-side organization.

• Demonstrated expertise in recognised BIM software, (preference for Autodesk Construction Cloud ACC, including Docs, Build, and BIM Collaborate).

• Strong understanding of project document workflows across design, construction, and closeout phases.

• Familiarity with digital handover requirements and integration with FM systems.

• Excellent attention to detail, organizational discipline, and communication skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.


Preferred Qualifications

• Autodesk Certified Professional preferred – e.g. Autodesk Docs or equivalent certification.

• Knowledge of ISO 19650, UNIFORMAT/OMNICLASS classification systems, or digital twin documentation standards.

• Experience supporting large-scale commercial or institutional developments.

• Understanding of legal and compliance considerations for owner-retained documentation.

• Experience working with integrated design/construction teams.
