An exciting opportunity for a Synthetic Organic Chemist to join a growing specialty chemicals business with a strong focus on innovation and sustainability.

The Role

• Design, synthesise and characterise novel organic compounds to support new product development.
• Apply synthetic organic chemistry and organic synthesis skills to lab, pilot, and full-scale trials.
• Analyse and interpret data, presenting findings to project teams.
• Drive process improvements, cost reduction, and innovation across product lines.
• Ensure safe and compliant lab practices.

About You

• Degree/MSc in Chemistry (focus on Synthetic Organic Chemistry).
• 2+ years’ R&D or chemical manufacturing experience.
• Proven skills in organic synthesis and associated analytical techniques.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and project management abilities.
• Self-starter with drive to innovate.
• Understanding of PRINCE2
• Driving licence and own car desirable due to location
