Head of HR – Fast-Growing Proprietary Trading Firm – London


Our client


Our client is a fast-growing proprietary trading firm with the feel of a high-touch hedge fund and the energy of a tech start-up. They are seeking a commercially minded Head of HR who can align closely with the firm’s business goals whilst building and embedding best-in-class HR practices. This is a unique opportunity to establish the HR function in a highly entrepreneurial, performance-driven environment.


Key responsibilities


  • Partner with the leadership team to design and deliver HR strategies that directly support business growth and long-term goals.
  • Build and implement best-in-class attraction and retention strategies to secure and develop top talent in a highly competitive market.
  • Oversee employee relations, compensation, and performance management, ensuring a robust and forward-looking HR framework.


Experience requirements:


  • Proven HR leadership experience within financial services, ideally in trading, hedge funds, or other high-performance environments.
  • Strong expertise in employee relations and compensation, with the ability to apply best practice in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic impact with hands-on delivery, building trust and influence across the business.
