We are searching for an experienced and forward-thinking commercial leader with a proven track record in construction. The right individual will combine strategic vision with a hands-on approach, confidently leading teams and driving high standards across multiple projects.


Key Responsibilities


  • Take ownership of commercial activities on projects, including procurement, cost planning, forecasting, and change management.
  • Monitor and report on commercial risks and opportunities across schemes.
  • Develop and deliver cost, commercial, and supply chain strategies aligned with targets for time, cost, quality, carbon, and social value.
  • Ensure accuracy in scopes, budgets, contracts, and supplier performance management.
  • Support sector leadership in contract negotiations.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a commercial team to ensure successful project delivery.


Experience & Qualifications


  • Background in a senior commercial or quantity surveying role within the construction industry.
  • Strong history of managing multiple concurrent projects and teams.
  • Experience with procurement, subcontractor management, and commercial negotiation.
  • Understanding of ISO standards and health & safety requirements in construction.
  • Skilled in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Professional membership (or working towards) with a recognised body is advantageous.
