Senior Chartered Building Surveyor – Exeter
Up to £58,950 | Hybrid Working | Public & Private Sector Projects
A leading national property consultancy is seeking a Senior Chartered Building Surveyor to join their growing team in Exeter. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-profile developments across both public and private sectors, within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
The role is full-time (37 hours per week) and offers a flexible hybrid working model, with a modern open-plan office conveniently located near the M5 for easy commuting.
Role Overview
As a Senior Chartered Building Surveyor, you’ll work alongside a multidisciplinary team of property professionals, providing expert advice across building surveying and maintenance disciplines. You’ll be involved in a wide range of projects, including:
- Technical due diligence for commercial and residential properties
- Preparing specifications, drawings, and risk assessments for new builds and refurbishments
- Conducting site surveys, schedules of condition, dilapidations, measured surveys, and defect analysis
- Leading quality assurance and ensuring compliance with legislation
- Presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders
Candidate Profile
We’re looking for a highly experienced professional with:
- Chartered Membership of RICS (or equivalent), or working towards chartered status
- Proven experience in building surveying across new build and refurbishment projects
- Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and related legislation
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team
- A proactive approach to client relationships and project delivery
