Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are delighted to be partnered with a leading manufacturing organisation in the search and selection of a Head of Sourcing & Supply Chain, within their developing and transitioning site, and wider global business group.

Head of Sourcing & Supply Chain

The Role

A pivotal in aligning purchasing and production / supply chain planning with our global strategy, ensuring seamless collaboration within the manufacturing facility in China and delivering exceptional service to our international customer base.

Requires a proactive approach to continuous improvement, supplier relationship management, and cross-functional coordination.

Key Accountabilities:

• Lead the EMEA Planning and Purchasing function, ensuring alignment with global supply chain objectives and customer requirements.
• Develop and implement regional sourcing strategies to optimise cost, quality, and delivery performance.
• Collaborate closely with the China-based factory to ensure accurate production planning and timely procurement of materials
• Drive improvements in lead times, inventory turnover, and on-time delivery (OTD) across the region.
• Manage supplier relationships, including negotiation of contracts, performance monitoring, and strategic development.
• Utilise MRP systems to enhance forecasting, planning accuracy, and inventory control.
• Ensure compliance with regional regulations and company policies related to procurement and logistics.
• Lead and mentor the regional team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Participate in global supply chain initiatives and contribute to cross-regional projects.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions where necessary.

Background & skill required

Proven experience in a senior planning or purchasing role within engineering or manufacturing

Experience managing international supply chains and working with overseas factories

Experience of sourcing & visiting Far East based suppliers

CIPS qualification preferred

Educated to HNC level or higher; a relevant degree is advantageous

Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Excel and ERP systems

Package Details:

Cir - £75,000-£85,000 + Car + Package
