Buyer | £35,000 - £40,000 | Cambridge

Our client is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Buyer to help build a cost-effective, high-performing supply chain that supports the growing demands of a dynamic technology company. The ideal candidate will bring experience in managing and developing international supplier relationships, demonstrate strong commercial acumen, and thrive in a results-focused environment.

The Role

+Manage key supplier accounts to ensure performance, delivery, and value for money.

+Schedule materials to align with production requirements and customer demand.

+Support continuous improvement across the international supplier base.

+Work alongside the Senior Buyer to help define and deliver purchasing strategies.

+Monitor and manage the lifecycle of components, including obsolescence issues.

Qualifications

+CIPS Level 3 Advanced Certificate in Procurement and Supply (or currently working towards it).

Experience and Skills

+Procurement or supply chain experience within the electronics and/or telecommunications sectors.

+Familiarity with managing offshore contract manufacturing partners.

+Involvement in product development from initial concept through to volume production.

+Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
