European Freight Specialist in Redditch

Our client, a well-known Freight Forwarder is looking to hire a European Freight Specialist to join their growing team based in Redditch.

The European Freight Specialist will be responsible for dealing with all operational matters from receiving the initial booking to the final delivery of the shipment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the Import/Export Road Freight Forwarding process from start to finish across the UK & Europe
• Maintain and develop strong relationships with clients, ensuring deadlines are met
• Provide high level of customer service with customers, agents and suppliers
• Prepare, process and follow up on quotes
• Completing documentation as required including import / export customs documentation
• Work closely with suppliers, negotiating rates and arranging bookings
• Submitting invoices as required

Requirements:

• Experience in Freight Forwarding, UK Transport, Import or Export is required
• Road Freight experience is an advantage
• Ability to build relationships and work as an integral part of the team
• Strong communication, customer service and organisational skills
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail
