About the Job

The Client
Our client is a leading global organization in the financial services and data sector. They are seeking Interim Legal Counsel to join their EMEA legal team and provide support across a range of commercial, contractual, and regulatory work. The company is committed to innovation and works with high-profile clients worldwide.
The Role
This is a broad in-house role, providing legal and regulatory support to the business. Key responsibilities include:
- Drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts, including licensing, data, trademark, custom index, research, advisory, and consulting agreements.
- Advising on intellectual property, data usage rights, post-termination obligations, and regulatory compliance.
- Supporting the business with responses to requests for proposals and guiding corporate licensing, branding, and privacy matters.
- Managing outside counsel on specific legal matters where required.
- Leading or participating in projects such as disputes, acquisitions, divestitures, and integration activities.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- 4–8 years’ post-qualification experience in financial services or commercial IP licensing contract law.
- Admitted to practice law in the UK or another European jurisdiction.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
