Kenton Black are seeking a permanent Quantity Surveyor to join their clients expanding team in Dundee.

The client, a leading civil engineering and building contractor operating across Scotland, is looking to appoint a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor. This strategic role offers a hands-on opportunity to oversee the commercial success of varied and complex projects, delivering work that shapes communities across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the financial management and reporting on major civil and commercial contracts

- Prepare and assess bills of quantities, valuations, and subcontract agreements

- Monitor and manage cost control procedures, ensuring profitability targets are met

- Provide commercial support and guidance to operational teams throughout the project lifecycle

- Negotiate contracts and liaise confidently with clients, subcontractors, and consultants

What You Bring:

- Demonstrable experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a civil engineering or main contracting environment, with progression to senior level

- Robust understanding of NEC and JCT contracts and their practical application

- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and commercial judgment

- Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent professional qualification

- Excellent communication and leadership skills with a proactive and collaborative mindset
