Global Patent Counsel – London based – FMCG Multinational


Our client, a global FMCG powerhouse is seeking a visionary Patent Attorney to become a strategic architect of innovation. This isn’t just a legal role—it’s a chance to shape the future of breakthrough technologies and transformative partnerships on a global scale. You’ll be the driving force behind the company’s intellectual property strategy, leading litigation efforts across jurisdictions and safeguarding a dynamic portfolio of patents. From the earliest spark of an idea to full-scale commercialization, your guidance will ensure that innovation is protected, nurtured, and empowered. Your days will be filled with high-impact collaboration—working alongside R&D, legal, and commercial teams to embed IP into every stage of the product lifecycle. You’ll draft and negotiate complex R&D agreements and joint development contracts, enabling the kind of partnerships that push boundaries and redefine markets.


As the business evolves, you’ll stay ahead of global IP trends and regulatory shifts, offering strategic foresight that keeps the company competitive and resilient. To thrive in this role, you’ll need to be a qualified Patent Attorney admitted before the European Patent Office, with a proven track record in trade secrets, freedom to operate, litigation strategy, enforcement, and dispute resolution. Your expertise in negotiating innovation-driven agreements and your ability to navigate multidisciplinary teams will be key to your success.
