Associate – Energy in Belfast

Job description

We are working with a leading national law firm based in Belfast for an associate to join their Energy team.

The Role:

The successful candidate will join a dynamic team, advising on a diverse range of matters including commercial contracts, renewable energy and infrastructure development, procurement, and regulatory matters.

The candidate will play a key role in high-profile transactions, advising a broad client base of national and international clients on energy matters. The candidate will also demonstrate a willingness to contribute to business development while managing client relationships.

Essential Criteria:

• 2+ years’ PQE;
• Strong background in commercial law, energy, infrastructure or projects. Background in two or more areas highly desirable;
• Strong academics;
• Demonstrable commercial awareness;
• Technically excellent;
• Negotiation skills;
• Supervisory skills;
• Willingness to become involved in business development;
• Ability to work independently and as a team.
