Job Title: Maths Lecturer (1 or 2 Positions Available)

Location: Carlisle

Start Date: As soon as possible

Contract Duration: Until October half term, with potential extension depending on internal recruitment

Working Hours: Full-time

Delivery Level: GCSE Maths

Pay: £30 per hour

Role Overview:

We are seeking one or two enthusiastic and experienced Maths Lecturers to join our team. The successful candidate(s) will be responsible for delivering high-quality GCSE Maths instruction to students, supporting their academic progress, and contributing to a positive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and effective GCSE Maths lessons.
• Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback.
• Support students in achieving their academic goals.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure curriculum continuity and consistency.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development activities as required.

Requirements:

• A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent).
• Proven experience teaching Maths in an educational setting.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to inclusive teaching practices and learner success.

Desirable:

• Experience teaching within a further education or secondary school environment.
• Familiarity with the current GCSE Maths curriculum and assessment requirements.
• DBS on the Update Service
