Our client, a leading US law firm, is seeking a Finance Associate to join their London practice. The team is highly regarded for its borrower-side strength in the UK mid-market, while also advising banks, direct lenders, private credit funds, corporates and real estate investors on complex cross-border transactions. Position Overview

As a Finance Associate, you will play a key role in providing technically sound advice and highly responsive service to clients on a wide range of finance matters. Working closely with colleagues, senior counsel, and partners, you will support client engagements while maintaining a strong record of revenue generation and profitability. Responsibilities

  • Draft and review loan agreements, security documents and ancillary finance documentation under supervision
  • Assist with due diligence, conditions precedent checklists and transaction management across cross-border financings
  • Liaise with clients, counterparties and other advisors to coordinate deal execution and closing processes
  • Conduct legal research and prepare internal memoranda on banking and finance matters
  • Support senior lawyers on leveraged, real estate and structured finance transactions, working on both borrower and lender mandates


Requirements

  • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with NQ-2 years PQE
  • Excellent academic record
  • Excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills
  • Commercial awareness and enthusiasm for business development
  • Ability to manage workloads and deadlines effectively
  • Ambitious and enthusiastic team player with a commitment to contributing to a collaborative culture
