Multimedia Journalist

£30–£50k DOE

London Hybrid

We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and ambitious Multimedia Journalist who is eager to kickstart or take the next step in their journalism career. You will be joining a specialist media and events business, helping to deliver high-quality newsletters, original stories, features and multimedia content for a professional audience in a dynamic and fast-growing sector.

This role will give you the chance to work across both editorial and video production while collaborating with an experienced team of journalists, editors and event professionals. What will this role include?

• Assisting with the delivery of 15 to 20 weekly newsletters, curating, editing and scheduling engaging content

• Researching and writing original news pieces, features and industry insight reports

• Uploading and managing content across digital platforms using a CMS (WordPress)

• Supporting video production including filming, editing and producing multimedia content for online and live events

• Proofreading and editing copy to ensure a consistent and professional standard

• Providing on-site event support including live content capture and liaising with speakers and stakeholders

The ideal candidate will have or be:

• Ideally NCTJ-qualified (or equivalent) or experience in journalism, media or content creation

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a confident interview style

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple deadlines

• Familiarity with CMS platforms such as WordPress and an interest in video editing or design tools

• A proactive, curious and detail-oriented mindset with a passion for storytelling

• Genuine enthusiasm for financial markets and a desire to deepen your knowledge in specialist sectors
