Our client, a leading global law firm, is seeking an exceptional Associate or Senior Associate to join their highly regarded Competition team in London.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will play a key role in advising multinational and UK businesses on complex UK and EU competition law matters, coordinating transaction filing strategies across multiple jurisdictions, and representing clients before regulatory authorities.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on UK and EU competition law matters
• Coordinate transaction filing strategies across multiple jurisdictions
• Represent clients before the Competition & Markets Authority and European Commission
• Guide clients through phase 1 and phase 2 merger control procedures
• Advise on foreign direct investment filings and national security matters
• Represent clients in antitrust investigations, market investigations, and sector enquiries

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with experience in UK and EU competition law
• Strong technical skills and knowledge of competition law and merger control procedures
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills
• Ability to manage complex matters and coordinate across multiple jurisdictions
• Collaborative and proactive approach with a passion for finding creative solutions
