The Client

Our client is a leading FTSE-listed organisation with a large and complex business structure. The Company Secretariat team plays a strategic role in shaping governance frameworks, supporting senior leadership, and ensuring best practices across the Group. The business is highly regarded for innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.


The Role

This is a high-impact and high-visibility role within the Secretariat team, offering significant exposure to senior stakeholders and strategic initiatives. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting governance and statutory compliance across subsidiaries and joint ventures.
  • Assisting with listed company obligations, including AGM planning, annual report drafting, and shareholder communications.
  • Managing relationships with registrars and supporting shareholder strategy, including dividend processes.
  • Participating in periodic rotations within the Secretariat to gain exposure across the full spectrum of responsibilities.
  • Contributing to strategic governance projects, such as corporate simplification initiatives and implementing new compliance frameworks.
  • Supporting board and committee meetings and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, including MAR obligations.


About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience within a Company Secretariat or governance role, ideally within a listed or regulated business.
  • Strong understanding of UK corporate governance and statutory compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders.
  • A proactive and collaborative mindset, thriving in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
