Category Buyer – Commodity Ingredients - Hybrid

£50,000 plus Benefits

As Category Buyer you will play a pivotal role in supporting category strategy development and commodity risk management within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. Working closely with the Commodity Manager you will lead on supplier negotiations, contract management and the identification of new sourcing opportunities. Your insight-driven market research and supplier engagement will ensure business continuity, cost optimisation and alignment with ESG commitments.

We are looking for a commercially astute procurement professional with:

• Proven experience sourcing in food manufacturing (Ingredients / Commodities) essential
• High level understanding of incoterms
• Strong negotiation, tendering and contract management expertise
• Market intelligence skills with the ability to interpret commodity trends
• Experience in ERP and MRP tools
