Interim Head of Property – Local Authority (London)
Location: London (Hybrid)
⏱ Duration: 3-6 months (potential to extend)
Rate: Competitive, Inside IR35

We’re working with a progressive London local authority seeking an Interim Head of Property to lead a key period of transformation across their operational estate.

You’ll act as the Council’s lead property advisor, overseeing asset strategy, property management, and the delivery of their Estates Programme. A key focus will be driving the Modernisation Programme, ensuring buildings are modern, fit-for-purpose, and aligned with service needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead strategic property management and asset planning
• Deliver the Council’s Estate transformation
• Manage operational estate reviews and rationalisation projects
• Oversee leasing, lettings, and landlord services 
• Ensure statutory compliance, repairs, and maintenance across the estate
• Collaborate across departments and with senior stakeholders

You’ll Bring:

• Strong leadership in public sector property or asset management
• Experience delivering estate transformation at pace
• Knowledge of compliance, landlord/tenant law, and lease management
• Commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement skills
