VP Counsel Commercial Technology & Outsourcing in City Of London

Job description

Our Client a Leading Global Banking Group is seeking a Commercial Technology and Outsourcing Legal Counsel to join an existing legal team working across the UK, US and EMEA based in the London offices.

This is to join the Complex Transactions legal Team

The Responsibilities include negotiating and drafting a wide range of agreements including:

• Technology procurement agreements ( SaaS and cloud etc),
• Outsourcing (ITO and BPO)
• Managed service agreements, and Tech related partnership and collaboration agreements.
• Working closely with business areas to support development of commercial contract documentation including: service descriptions, service level agreements and fee schedules.
• Liaise with a variety of senior stakeholders to ensure escalation of issues as they arise.
• Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of contract templates and contract review checklists to ensure regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with multiple business lines and legal teams across the UK and other offices

Candidate Profile

• Qualified Lawyer with either applicable Private Practice or in-house experience
• Experience of structuring and drafting complex Technology Procurement Contracts/ outsourcing agreements / managed service agreements
• Basic Knowledge of data privacy / cyber security
• a plus would be knowledge of financial services regulations re 3 rd party outsourcing guidelines ( FCA /PRA / DORA etc
