Health Safety Environment Advisor in Shoreham-By-Sea

HSE Recruitment are working with a large manufacturing in Shoreham-by-Sea who are looking for a Health, Safety, Environmental Quality Advisor to support the site in improving compliance and culture across the site.

It is a large, complex site with around 350 staff. Risks on site; assembly, manufacturing, fuels, chemicals, FLT, environmental permits - what you would expect for a busy production facility.

Working alongside the other HSEQ Advisor, the SLT on site and with the support of the HSEQ Director, you will be building and improving the culture and ensuring high levels of compliance.

The culture is generally positive but with every business there are pockets that are more challenging than others. This site are receptive to change and want to improve so with the right person, they can really make their mark. You will be managing ISO systems; 45001, 14001, 9001 and 27001, dealing with internal and external audits, trend analysis, risk assessment reviews and training to name a few responsibilities.

Person spec:

• What’s most important is finding someone who is switched on, self-motivated, driven, engaging, able to influence, good with people, strong communicator at all levels, hands on, come with fresh ideas, desire to keep improving. The ability to take the technical knowledge but translate it into a language that people understand and can buy into.
• NEBOSH Certificate level as a minimum
• Background in manufacturing, engineering or production would be an advantage but not above the personality traits we need.
• Internal auditor, fire safety or environmental/ waste experience would be desirable

Salary is negotiable but the budget is ideally £40-50,000, maybe more for the right person.
