Assistant Quantity Surveyor in Greater London

Our client—a well-established Fit-Out and Refurbishment contractor with over 25 years of industry excellence—has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their thriving commercial team. With a strong foothold in high-end Central London projects and a £200 million turnover (and growing), this is a business where ambition is matched with opportunity.

The division delivers around 40 projects per year, ranging from £10,000 to £2 million in value, projects tend to be for commercial offices in and around Central London.

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor for this team you will be giving autonomy in running your own projects from initial inquiry through to handover. You will need be confident in pricing works, managing CVRs and building great client relationships as a lot of your work will come from repeat business so managing these relationships is critical!

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents
• Measure quantities using standard methods and software (e.g., Bluebeam, CostX, etc.)
• Support the procurement process, including preparing bills of quantities and subcontractor packages
• Monitor project costs and assist in producing regular financial reports
• Assist in valuing completed work and managing payments to subcontractors and suppliers
• Support in preparing and negotiating variations, claims, and final accounts
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure effective project delivery
• Maintain proper documentation and records in line with company and industry standards.
