Data Migration Lead

Our client is a large Financial Services organisation that is at the start of a large portfolio of work across their Data environment.

It is essential that the successful candidate has experience leading multiple Data Migrations.

They are looking for a consultant to join their team at this early stage and assist with the planning and implementation of a number of Greenfield migrations covering a range of data transformations.

The successful candidate will need to have managed several end-to-end Data Migrations within Financial Services institutions from initial planning / requirements gathering through to Post Migration BAU support.

Key Responsibilities

Designing leading and driving the Data migration and transfer strategy

Managing a range of Data Projects and Outcomes that are happening concurrently

Acting as an SME within the team, and ensuring that project milestones are delivered

Creating a standardised approach to Data Migrations for the Bank

Working with Vendors in the run up to implementations to configure systems

Providing post Go-Live support to BAU users

Coordinating with business process stakeholders to ensure that operational impacts are considered

Champion the work of the Data office throughout the business

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Experienced leading at least two end to end Data migrations within a Banking institution

An understanding of corporate and investment banking products and processes across the Front to Back office

Demonstrate strong senior stakeholder management skills

Track record of developing, interpreting and delivering on business strategies to develop high value added processes and procedures on time

Experienced with a wide range of Data tools (Alteryx would be especially useful)

Strong communication (verbal and written) and negotiation skills

Experienced working within Financial Services
