Job description

Industrialisation Lead

Salary: £120,000 – £130,000 + car allowance

Benefits: 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays, enhanced pension (matched up to 8%), annual bonus scheme

Location: Work from Home (UK-wide travel as required)

Venatu Recruitment Group are proud to be supporting our client in the search for an Industrialisation Lead for the NHS New Hospitals Programme. This is a critical leadership role, focused on bringing mass production and industrialised construction methods—particularly around steel frame systems—into the delivery of 40 new hospitals across the UK. The hospitals will be 500-600 bed hospitals.

The Role

As Industrialisation Lead, you will head up a team of consultants and subject matter experts to identify, test, and deliver opportunities for standardisation and industrialisation. This involves taking concepts from early-stage innovation through detailed design, prototyping, digital/physical testing, and into approved business cases ready for deployment.

The goal is to drive faster, more cost-efficient, sustainable, and safer hospital builds, embedding modern methods of construction and scalable industrial practices across the programme.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop a high-performing industrialisation team.

Manage a portfolio of industrialisation opportunities from concept through to approved business cases.

Oversee testing (digital and physical) to ensure robust solutions before rollout.

Design and implement industrialised solutions, including modular and steel-frame methods.

Conduct feasibility studies, cost/benefit analysis, and impact assessments.

Collaborate with NHS stakeholders, consortium partners, and supply chain specialists.

Introduce governance, reporting, and continuous improvement practices to ensure delivery against strategic programme goals.

About You

We are looking for a senior leader with:

Proven experience in industrialisation, process optimisation, or product standardisation, ideally in large-scale infrastructure or healthcare projects.

Strong understanding of modern construction methods (MMC), digital modelling, and supply chain management.

Track record of delivering mass production or industrialised solutions—experience with steel frame systems would be a distinct advantage.

Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence at senior levels.

Strong analytical ability to quantify strategic, financial, and operational benefits.

Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex portfolios.
