The Opportunity: Compartmentation Surveyor

In this field-based role, you will be the expert on the ground, conducting vital surveys that ensure the highest standards of fire safety for a diverse and prestigious client portfolio. The Role – What you’ll be doing:

Working autonomously from a home-based patch, you will be responsible for:

  • Undertaking detailed Intrusive and non Intrusive compartmentation surveys across various sites, from large residential apartment blocks to complex commercial premises.
  • Conducting thorough fire door surveys in line with industry best practice (BM Trada Q-Mark standards), identifying faults and non-compliance issues.
  • Completing fire risk assessments (FRA) to ensure full compliance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
  • Producing exceptionally detailed, clear, and professional reports for clients, outlining findings and recommending remedial actions.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor, providing clear, expert guidance to clients on all aspects of passive fire protection.
  • Managing your own diary to efficiently schedule surveys within your designated region.

About You – The ideal candidate:

We are keen to speak with competent surveyors who can demonstrate:

  • Proven, hands-on experience conducting compartmentation surveys.
  • It is essential that you have significant experience conducting fire door surveys and are confident working to relevant British Standards.
  • It is essential that you are a competent Fire Risk Assessor and can prove your experience in producing FRAs. Formal accreditation (IFE, FDIS, etc.) is a significant advantage.
  • An in-depth, working knowledge of the RRO and building regulations pertaining to passive fire protection.
  • A meticulous eye for detail – your reports must be accurate, comprehensive, and of a high professional standard.
  • superb client-facing and communication skills.
  • A full UK driving licence.

The Package & Benefits:

  • Salary: £Negotiable (dependent on experience and qualifications).
  • Car Allowance (£4,800 P/a
  • Home-based role with a regional patch, minimising travel time.
