Job Description: ESG Reporting Lead (Hybrid, London)


Overview

Our client, a global organisation with a strong commitment to sustainability, is looking for an ESG Reporting Lead to join their growing sustainability team. This is a newly created role, designed for someone with a strong grounding in ESG reporting frameworks who is ready to take ownership of reporting processes and work across multiple data streams.


The successful candidate will play a key part in shaping how the business meets its reporting obligations under CSRD and ISSB, while driving continuous improvement in ESG data collection, analysis, and reporting.


Location & Salary

  • Location: London (Hybrid: 3 days in office minimum)
  • Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 per annum


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on ESG reporting processes, ensuring compliance with CSRD and ISSB requirements.
  • Collect, validate, and consolidate ESG data from multiple internal systems and teams.
  • Coordinate with analysts, finance teams, and sustainability specialists to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Act as the main point of contact for external consultants, auditors, and assurance providers.
  • Develop and maintain reporting dashboards, ensuring data integrity across complex data stacks.
  • Translate technical ESG data into clear, insightful reports for senior stakeholders and external disclosures.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and industry trends to ensure reporting practices remain compliant and best-in-class.
  • Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes, including automation and data standardisation.


Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • 1–5 years of experience in ESG, corporate reporting, or sustainability-focused roles.
  • Strong understanding of CSRD, ISSB, and related ESG disclosure frameworks.
  • Experience working with data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel, or similar).
  • Proven ability to manage projects with multiple stakeholders across functions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ESG concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience collaborating with consultants, auditors, or external stakeholders.
  • Experience in calculating GHG emissions.


Desirable Skills

  • Familiarity with additional reporting frameworks such as GRI, SASB, or TCFD.
  • Experience with carbon accounting, Scope 1–3 emissions, or science-based targets.
  • Background in data-driven roles within corporate sustainability or finance.
