The Role
The Head of Technical Services will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of technical services across a diverse property portfolio. This includes ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, driving innovation, and delivering the highest standards of service to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to engineering and technical teams.
- Oversee planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring statutory and contractual compliance.
- Implement innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions to enhance service delivery.
- Manage budgets, contracts, and resources effectively to meet financial targets.
- Act as a technical authority, offering expertise and assurance to internal and external stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring a customer-focused approach.
- Promote and enforce a culture of health, safety, and environmental responsibility.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will be a proven leader in technical or engineering services, with a strong background in facilities management. They will combine deep technical knowledge with commercial awareness and the ability to inspire high-performing teams.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline.
- Significant experience in a senior technical leadership role within facilities management or building services.
- Strong understanding of statutory compliance and industry best practice.
- Commercial acumen, with demonstrable experience managing budgets and contracts.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- A commitment to innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
