Database Administrator Engineer

Location: Leeds/Hybrid

Salary: 45k - 50k

We’re looking for an experienced Database Administrator Engineer with strong Azure expertise to join our global IT team. You’ll design, deploy, and optimise secure, scalable database environments in a cloud-native setting, driving performance, reliability, and automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain cloud-native database solutions.
• Implement backup/recovery, security, and compliance best practices.
• Monitor and optimise performance across environments.
• Automate processes using scripting and CI/CD tools.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, and architecture teams.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years managing cloud infrastructure (Azure essential).
• Strong SQL, Python, and DevOps experience.
• Background in performance tuning, query optimisation, and security.
• Comfortable with Windows & Linux environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.
