Job description

Alexander Steele are working with a Ambient Food Manufacturer in West Yorkshire which are looking to recruit a Materials Planner.

The ideal candidate has worked in a supply chain planning role previously within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage contracts (4–13 weeks) and call-offs (1–3 weeks) in line with forecasted demand and production plans.
Oversee end-to-end supplier management including short/long-term demand, expediting materials, and resolving delivery issues.
Collaborate with Supply Planning, Demand Planning, GTM, Commercial, and Procurement to ensure accurate and timely supply.
Maintain purchase orders, stock levels, safety stocks, and lead times, ensuring data integrity across Sage and Infor.
Monitor KPIs, packaging runout reports, and contracts to maximise efficiency and minimise obsolescence.
Support packaging redesigns, delists, and NPD launches.
Resolve invoice queries and raise hold/rejection notes in line with agreed procedures.
Contribute to S&OP processes, weekly/ad-hoc meetings, and stock take activities.
Uphold health & safety, brand integrity, and company policies at all times.
Take responsibility for personal development and contribute to projects as required.
